Valerie Barrows has had the pleasure to gain 24 years of experience working in the field of psychology. She opened her private practice in 2012 and has built a team of therapists whose mission is to provide comfort & hope in a nurturing environment and dedicated to provide mental health services to individuals, couples, and families to enhance their quality of life. To create a safe and supportive environment that strives to meet the unique needs of each individual. The staff has experience working with but not limited to depression, grief, divorce issues, anxiety, relationships.

A.C.C.E.P.T. Family Counseling's staff are qualified professionals with the desire in helping relieve mental health issues such as anxieties, depression, PTSD, relationship issues, couple issues, children and adolescent behavioral issues and more. Our goal is help each individual create lasting change that is not dependent on anyone but yourself.

Tanya is Licensed Marriage Family Therapist who works with clients experiencing emotional, behavioral and other interpersonal challenges in their lives. Her approach is compassionate and collaborative, based on a person-centered perspective.  Tanya works with teens, adolescents, young adults, adults and couples toward better relationships and better lives.  Tanya believes in meeting her clients "where their at" to establish goals and objectives as set by the client.

Tanya also serves as Clinical Supervisor assisting Marriage & Family Therapist Associates work toward licensure.

Lindsey Brumett

Lindsey is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist  through the California Board of Behavioral Science.  Lindsey believes "Life is precious and flies by very quickly. I value making the most out of our lives, however I know difficulties arise and it’s not always easy to “live your best life”. I am an open-minded, non-judge mental, and empathetic therapist who works with clients to develop a plan to increase life happiness and fulfillment.  I support my clients through active listening, problem solving, communication skills, coping skills, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy". Lindsey has worked extensively with couples experiencing infidelity issues, communication issues, and boundary issues. She enjoys working with couples, individuals and children experiencing depression, anxiety, relational issues, and more.

Alma is a bi-lingual  Associate Marriage  Family Therapist who speaks both English and Spanish and is a candidate for licensure with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences and currently, she is studying for her licensure exam.

 

Alma works with individuals, couples, families, teens and children. She takes into account our personal background, culture, past experiences and values to tailor therapy to meet your needs and goals. 

Alma centers her approach for maximum gain for each of her clients.

Cherish enjoys working with children, teens and adults who are navigating anxiety, stress, trauma and other life challenges. She believes healing is a journey and is committed to creating a safe, supportive environment where clients can feel heard, understood and empowered.

Irma is passionate and empathetic professional with  years of experience in providing excellent customer care, scheduling appointments, performing clerical duties, managing insurance, billing, supporting medical procedures while maintaining client safety and confidentiality compliance.

Irma is a problem solver and solution focused helping potential clients connect with a Therapist as soon as possible.  Irma's background in medical offices and mental health offices provides her with a unique perspective to better assist clients and Therapists come together and begin the process toward a better, happier, healthier and more productive life.

Serving as the Director of Operations for A.C.C.E.P.T. Family Counseling, Inc. I have been with the Practice over 9 years and very much enjoy my role here. I am a retired Air Traffic Controller of 29+ years & served in the United States Air Force nearly 23 years. I have had a myriad of jobs and professions throughout my life and believe my years of extensive experience in customer service, accomplishing departmental goals & objectives by a leading staff, managing, planning & evaluating departmental activities lend well to my position here. “I enjoy being part of a team assisting those in our communities seeking help—helping everyone who calls or walks through our doors is the most important part of this job.”

Jack Barrows

Maintenance Technician

I am the Maintenance Technician for A.C.C.E.P.T. Family Counseling Inc., I have over 48 years of construction experience, I’m knowledgeable in many phases of building maintenance and repairs. I am a licensed roofing contractor and was the project manager of a roofing company throughout the South working on both commercial and residential projects. I have an abundance of experience carrying out repair work of all kinds; you could say, I am really a “Jack of All Trades.”
